The corona pandemic and the associated protective measures are bringing public life to a standstill and unfortunately also affect the SWR2 International Pianists series in Mainz.
It is with great regret that we have to cancel the piano recital with Nicholas Angelich on May 8, 2020. However, the artist will not be lost in turn and you, our audience, but will come to us in Mainz in one of the following seasons.
20 years ago the SWR2 Landesmusikredaktion Rheinland-Pfalz founded their concert series “SWR2 International Pianists in Mainz” in the Frankfurter Hof, which has since established itself as an attractive cultural brand with charisma and attraction far beyond Mainz and the Rhine-Main area. Renowned artists from all over the world like to stop here: so far, over 100 pianists have played for an enthusiastic audience, who like to listen to the concert evenings as a broadcast on SWR2.
