Switzerland: Decathlon recalls a bicycle seat for children – Economy

Decathlon customers who bought the “100 B’CLIP” children’s bicycle seat from the “B’TWIN” brand are asked to bring them back to the store, the brand said in a press release Tuesday in collaboration with the BPA, Bureau accident prevention. The child’s tether loop attachment point can break, creating the risk of injury and accident, she said.

The recall relates to seats sold between October 1, 2018 and November 20, 2019, the attachment point on the seat shell in front of the clip has a blue / turquoise discoloration.

People with such a bicycle seat are asked to check if it has blue / turquoise discoloration and would therefore be concerned by the safety problem. If this is the case, Decathlon asks them to return the seat to a store of the brand. They will receive, depending on availability, a replacement product or a refund of the purchase price.
