Swiss IT Salaries Remain High Despite Moderating⁤ Growth: Report

Zurich, Switzerland – October 16,⁣ 2025 – Skilled IT professionals in Switzerland continue⁢ to command premium salaries, though wage increases ‍are showing signs of moderation,‌ according to the latest “Salary Overview 2026 Switzerland” from recruitment firm Robert Half. The report, released today, confirms a persistent ‌shortage of tech talent across key areas like cloud computing, cybersecurity, and ⁤artificial intelligence, driving up compensation.

Nearly seven out of ten Swiss IT companies are offering salary surcharges for expertise in emerging technologies, the report finds. Competition for qualified candidates allows experienced specialists to negotiate well above industry averages.

The highest earners in the sector are leadership roles. Chief Facts Security Officers (CISOs)‍ and Chief Information Officers (CIOs) are earning over 225,000 Swiss francs annually. IT project managers in consulting roles average around 160,000 francs per ‍year, while security professionals report a median salary of approximately 147,000 francs.

Salaries in ⁢the artificial intelligence field ‌vary‌ based on experience, ranging from 80,000 francs for entry-level positions to around 170,000 francs for senior engineers and team leaders.

Robert Half compiled the report by evaluating⁣ data from its own placements⁤ and an online survey conducted in June 2025. The survey included approximately 250 HR managers ⁤and⁤ 500 employees across IT, finance, and administration. While wage increases in IT are less dramatic ⁢than in recent years, they remain at a high level overall.

The report emphasizes that continuous⁣ education and specialization in future-focused technologies are crucial for‌ maintaining job security and maximizing earning potential in ‍the Swiss IT market.
