In June, July and August, Oslo Municipality takes samples of the water at 45 bathing sites. Then they measure how much intestinal bacteria there are in the water.
If it is too much, swimming is not recommended. It can happen when it rains a lot in a short time.

- Leaks occur.
- Water can flow from surfaces with a lot of wildlife. It can be plains with birds or agricultural areas with sheep, cows and horses.

Bathing is not recommended until new, cleaner samples are taken. The first new sample is taken on Tuesday. The answer will come on Wednesday or Thursday. The sign on Stensrudtjern will be taken down no earlier than Wednesday evening.
Aftenposten has previously written about similar tests at Sørenga in Oslo. Then the chief infection control officer said that it is hardly dangerous for people to swallow some of the water.
