Suzuki S-Presso and Baleno Launch, Cheap City Car Prices Starting at IDR 155 Million

PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales Indonesia (SIS) launched two new cars, namely the S-Presso and Baleno Facelift at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) arena on Thursday (11/8/2022).

“Today we are very pleased to introduce 2 new models that are suitable for the lifestyle of the urban community, namely Baleno and S-Presso. With their respective advantages, we believe that both of them can contribute to increasing the hatchback and city car market in Indonesia,” said President Director Suzuki. Indonesia, Shingo Sezaki during a press conference at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Thursday (11/8/2022).

Suzuki S-Presso officially made its first floor in Indonesia today. This gait SUV-style city car is sold at prices such as the low cost green car (LCGC) in Indonesia.

If you look at the dimensions and engine capacity, the Suzuki S-Presso will be a replacement for the Suzuki Karimun Wagon R, which has been officially stopped selling in Indonesia. Automatic S-Presso will compete with cars Daihatsu Ayla, Toyota Agya and Honda Brio.

Speaking of dimensions, the Suzuki S-Presso has a length of 3,565 mm, a width of 1,520 mm, a height of 1,565 mm, a wheelbase of 2,380 mm. While the ground clearance or the lowest distance to the ground is 180 mm.

Behind the bonnet, the S-Presso is equipped with a 1-liter three-cylinder K-Series K10B DOHC petrol engine. The new S-Presso can produce a peak power of 50 kW at 5,500 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The engine is mated to an AGS automatic transmission and a 5-speed manual.

In terms of safety features, the S-Presso is equipped with SRS Front Dual Airbags, Rear Parking Sensor, Immobilizer, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), Seatbelts, Childproof Rear Door Locks, 3 Point Assist Grip, and a Light Fire Extinguisher.

The S-Presso is sold from Rp. 155 million for the M/T type, while the S-Presso AGS is sold at Rp. 164 million. The price is OTR Jabodetabek. While the S-Presso color options consist of Sizzle Orange, Solid Fire Red, Pearl Starry Blue, White, Granite Gray Met, and Silky Silver Met.

Suzuki Baleno

The second car on the floor at GIIAS 2022 is the facelifted Suzuki Baleno. This hatchback-style car gets a refresh from the exterior to the kitchen runway.

In terms of appearance in general, the difference between the Suzuki Baleno is the bumper and grille.

Then in terms of the pacemaker, the Suzuki Baleno Facelift uses a K15B engine with an engine capacity of 1,462 cc. Its power has increased by 8 PS from the previous version, on paper now Baleno can spit out 104.6 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 138 Nm at 4,400 rpm.

Meanwhile, in terms of security, the latest Suzuki Baleno is equipped with several features including;

This facelifted Suzuki Baleno is sold for Rp. 262.9 million for a manual transmission. Meanwhile, the Suzuki Baleno facelift with the A/T transmission is sold for IDR 274.9 million. This car is available in Luxe Beige, Celestial Blue, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red, Grandeur Grey, Artic White, and Midnight Black colors.

The facelifted Baleno is ready to be offered for the manual transmission type. The automatic transmission will be available in October 2022.
