At around 6:45 am, the police were called to go to a single-family home on rue Fréchette for a death.

The Police Department of the City of Granby does not say in what state the body was, but speaks of “nebulous circumstances”, suggesting that it could be a question of murder.

An investigation was launched to shed light on the circumstances of this event. The personal crimes division of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and that of forensic identification have been called in as reinforcements, Granby police said.

An autopsy on the man’s corpse should be performed in the coming days, it was also reported on Saturday.

The investigation is ongoing, concluded local police, who declined to give more details about this event.
