The Superior Council of the Judiciary announced this Saturday that the suspension of judicial terms in Colombia due to the covid-19 pandemic will be lifted from July 1.

However, the agency stated in a communication that the terms in the Constitutional Court will continue to be suspended until July 30, to decide on the unconstitutionality claims and the eventual review of guardianship actions.

Diana Alexandra Remolina Botía, president of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, emphasized that the current health conditions require that all necessary measures be taken so that the presence at the headquarters of the judicial branch is restricted to the maximum, “in order to protect the health of judicial servants, lawyers, users and citizens in general “.

“The attention to users will be advanced through the institutional technical and electronic means and channels available for the reception, attention, communication and processing of actions by the judicial offices, secretariats, support offices, service centers and other dependencies , which will be defined and communicated in each district by the sectional councils of the judiciary in coordination with the sectional directorates of judicial administration, “said the Council.
