Cardiologist Yulia Kuzmenko, who is suspected of having allegedly planted explosives under the car of journalist Pavel Sheremet, said that she and other suspects in this case – Yana Dugar and Andrei Antonenko were being pursued by unknown persons.

About this she wrote on Facebook, asking for publicity.

“I ask for publicity and repost, this is important for our safety! The situation is unpleasant – we are really being persecuted. After cases of persecution and attempts to enter Yana’s residence, I try to closely monitor the cars that drive next to me,” – Kuzmenko wrote.

Kuzmenko’s statement

Due to fears for her life, the woman emphasized that:

  • she has no suicidal moods “from the word at all” and the absence of such intentions and the stable state of her psyche were confirmed by a psychiatric examination in the IVS;
  • her car is in perfect condition, which is confirmed by a check at the service station, carried out the other day;
  • she is a very careful driver who reinsures herself before every maneuver;
  • she has no health problems.

“If suddenly I start to take the blame for the murder of Sheremet on myself – this is a lie, I ask you to immediately regard it as a loud cry for immediate help,” Yulia also emphasized.

Dugar’s statement

Less than two weeks ago, a similar statement was made by another suspect in the Sheremet case, nurse Yana Dugar, noting that she “again notices her eyes,” and also that her house often triggered an alarm “in different rooms on the second floor,” she saw strangers under the house and received video messages as she was being followed.

“I can assume that there is intimidation and pressure on the psychological state! Therefore, I want to make a statement: I have no depression, no thoughts of suicide … and I have big plans for the future, my psychological state is normal!” – wrote she’s on Facebook.

The case of Sheremet

Belarusian journalist Pavel Sheremet, who lived and worked in Ukraine, died on July 20, 2016 as a result of a car explosion in the center of Kiev. Investigators said they considered the priority version of the murder of Sheremet for his journalistic activities in Ukraine and other countries.

About the detention of suspects in the explosion of the car of journalist Pavel Sheremet, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on December 12. They were musician Andrei Antonenko, doctor Yulia Kuzmenko and military nurse Yana Dugar.

According to the investigation, the explosives were planted by Yulia Kuzmenko and Andrey Antonenko, and Yana Dugar allegedly photographed the cameras near the crime scene with her mobile phone the day before.

All three deny their involvement in the crime, now Antonenko is under 24/7 house arrest, Kuzmenko recently changed the measure of restraint from 24/7 to night house arrest.

We will remind, Yulia Kuzmenko calmly reacted to the resignation of Arsen Avakov from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, under which she was under investigation. When asked with what feeling she took the news of the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, she replied that she was not waiting for a change of names, but for actions.
