On her first day of work as prefect of Guayas, Susana González, decided to remove from office 65 officials who worked in the Provincial Government under free removal appointments.
The dismissed officials performed tasks in the areas of Environmental Management, Public Works, Sports and Recreation, Public Purchases, Community Liaison, Finance, among others. This is broken down in the official letter No. GPG-PG-SGR-002-2020 signed by González, who assumed the position of highest authority of the Prefecture after the sudden death of Carlos Luis Morales.
In the document, González indicated that the work of said officials is proceeding following the parameters stipulated in articles 17 and 83 of the Organic Law of Public Service (Losep), and in article 50 literal h of the Organic Organization Code Territorial, Autonomy and Decentralization (Cootad).
