Surge in DHF Cases in Tasikmalaya City Reaches 1,211 Cases

Tasikmalaya: Cases of illness DBD has increased in various regions, one of which is in Tasikmalaya, West Java. The number of cases reached 1,211 and the number of deaths reached 21 people. Rise dengue cases itself is caused by several factors, such as weather and environmental factors.

“The case of DHF itself is caused by several factors. Such as weather factors, every day it rains in Tasikmalaya until it becomes a puddle which can lead to the breeding of mosquitoes. Public awareness is where to keep the environment clean,” he said.

The Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Tasikmalaya Health Service, Asep Hendra, said that he had made efforts to suppress the spread of dengue.

“Then at the puskesmas level, every time there is a case we carry out what is called Epidemiological Surveillance in a factor, we have also carried out what is called the implementation of fogging focus in that place so that the adult mosquitoes can be killed,” explained Asep.
