Vitesse fans would have taken revenge with this load of offal at a memorial site of a killed NEC supporter.

Probably in response, Vitesse supporters dumped offal at a memorial to an NEC supporter, ‘Rocky’, who died in an accident in 2015. The Facebook page of the Harde Kern NEC reacts with shock to that action. “Outright disgusting” and “Fight between themselves is fine, but what a sick thing this is” write the people of Nijmegen. The images are also shared on Instagram.
Some Vitesse supporter groups, including RFFC Rijnland, have distanced themselves from the action. “We are investigating who did it and then appropriate measures will follow,” reads a message that is circulating in app groups. “You leave the dead alone.”
Risk match
Municipalities and the police are keeping an eye on the mood in the run-up to the derby, which is considered a risk match. 500 Vitesse fans will be transported to Nijmegen on the day of the competition by compulsory bus combination.
