Samuel Eto’o gets tangled up in the elections for the presidency of the Ivorian Football Federation, after the words of Pierre Ménès who used him to criticize the marginalization of Didier Drogba in the electoral process. The former captain of the Indomitable Lions did not fail to reframe the journalist on Twitter.
The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has stopped the electoral process, discrediting the electoral commission which committed irregularities, in particular in the file of the candidate Didier Drogba. The consultant of Canal +, Pierre Ménès then castigated the governing bodies of Ivorian football.
“Total support for Didier Drogba, victim of shameful political shenanigans in his country where he is a candidate for the presidency of the federation. He saw the same thing as Samuel Eto’o in Cameroon. Their fear will scare the politicians, ”he said.
Samuel Eto’o reframes Ménès
The Cameroonian legend did not like the journalist’s words and wanted to answer him on the same social network: “Pierre, my fights go beyond the desire to manage a federation. These are not policies that oppose the will to help. Footballers want to destroy everything we have built on the pitches. Sometimes it is against them that we have to fight. Far from politics, ”he said.
Ménès then replied: “I never spoke of the Federation, Sam, but of the sticks that we put in the wheels. I did not invent it ”, but without satisfying the former player of Barça, Inter Milan and Chelsea.
“My field of expression is football. Before looking in the offices, I look at the opponent who is preventing me unnecessarily on the football field, from scoring the development goal, before the political VAR, ”concluded Eto’o.
Words that will surely not please Ménès who must then take another example to illustrate his last statements.
Pierre, my fights go beyond the will to manage 1 federation. These are not policies that oppose the will to help. Footballers want to destroy everything that we have built on the fields. It is against them that we must fight, far from politicians.
