Presenter Miljuschka Witzenhausen kicks off the collection week with her own online collection box. Her daughter Felina had her first epileptic seizure at the age of three and they have been looking for answers ever since:
Miljuschka Witzenhausen: “Epilepsy is a mysterious thing until you have to deal with it. My daughter has had epilepsy for six years now. More money must be made available for research so that solutions can be found. We have been busy with medication and diagnostics for years, but we are still behind the times. The worst thing of all is that it only has to go wrong once. An unguarded moment and it’s enough. So please donate to research so that solutions can be found.”

Epilepsy disrupts lives. 200,000 people in the Netherlands who are directly affected and more than a million people with a partner, parent, child, brother or sister. Their lives can be disrupted at any time by an epileptic seizure. 30% of people do not become seizure free, even with medication. The collectors of EpilepsyNL are committed to bringing the solution closer.
