George Russell also won the virtual Grand Prix of Monaco on Sunday. It is the second consecutive win for the Williams driver in the series of digital Formula 1 races.
Russell, 22, was in a class of his own, holding Esteban Gutiérrez, who played for Mercedes, 39 seconds behind him. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who had driven the streets of Monaco earlier this day in a Ferrari SF90 Stradale for filming, finished third.
Right after the start, Russell took over the leading position from Pietro Fittipaldi, who left pole position. The Brit did not give up the first place after that.
Two weeks ago, Russell was also the strongest in the digital Grand Prix of Spain. He thereby kept Leclerc from his third consecutive victory, after the Monegask triumphed earlier in the virtual races of Vietnam and China.

In addition to Russell and Leclerc, Formula 1 drivers Alexander Albon, Valtteri Bottas, Lando Norris and Antonio Giovinazzi, among others, participated in the Monaco digital GP. Max Verstappen drops the virtual races.
The next digital race is on June 7, when the Azerbaijan Grand Prix is scheduled. The street race in Baku was postponed due to the corona crisis.
It is still not clear when the real Formula 1 season starts. The first ten races have now been canceled. The Grand Prix of Austria is the first race on July 5 that will continue for the time being.
