Hamilton‘s Supercrawl festival is drawing large crowds this weekend with a unique blend of music,art,and interactive experiences-including sightings of costumed aliens alongside skateboarding demonstrations. The annual event, running Saturday and Sunday, features performances from a diverse lineup of singers and bands, interactive art installations, and a CBC Hamilton booth offering trivia challenges.
Supercrawl has grown into one of Hamilton’s signature events, attracting both residents and tourists and boosting local businesses.This year’s festival highlights the city’s vibrant arts scene and community spirit, offering free entertainment for all ages. The event provides a platform for emerging artists and established musicians alike, while also fostering a sense of connection among attendees.
Rachel Yang brought her grandmother, visiting from China, and her mother to experience the festival. “It’s nice to check everything out,” Yang said, noting her grandmother particularly enjoyed watching acrobats perform.
An interactive art display near the armoury proved popular with families. CBC Hamilton is also participating, hosting a booth at the corner of James Street N. and Wilson Street from noon to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, inviting attendees to test their trivia knowledge and meet CBC guests.
