SUPERB COMEBACK AND A MAGNIFICENT PODIUM FOR JEAN-ÉRIC VERGNE IN BERLIN!

Here’s a unique version of the article, preserving all verifiable facts:

The Berlin race saw a critically important shift in conditions as the track dried before the start. This change allowed the team to implement a strategy perfectly tailored to the new circumstances. Both JEV and Max, who began the race in 18th and 13th positions respectively, found themselves at the front by the halfway point. Crucially, they possessed more energy reserves than their competitors, positioning them strongly for a podium finish.

This objective was realized for JEV, who secured third place after an exceptional comeback drive. Unfortunately, Max was unable to capitalize on his strategic advantage due to a failure in the front powertrain system, a standard component. This was a significant setback, as he too was in contention for a podium. Despite this, the team departs Berlin satisfied with the overall result and maintains its provisional position on the podium in the teams’ championship. The team’s immediate focus now shifts to London for the season’s final two races.

Maximilian Günther’s Perspective:

“While I’m disappointed with the outcome of Race 2, I’m focusing on the positives,” stated Maximilian Günther. “The team’s collective achievement was of a high caliber, and our performance level was robust, which is something I’m pleased about. Today, we executed a clear strategy and adhered to it.Everything was progressing favorably: we had excellent energy management, strong pace, and two Attack Modes available. I was running just behind the eventual winner, who had adopted a similar strategy. Regrettably, a front transmission issue ultimately led to my retirement. Continuing the race would have posed too great a risk, given the overheating components and inconsistent brake response. It’s a genuine shame, as a driver always aims to accumulate as many points as possible. Though, I believe we gained valuable insights throughout this weekend.”

Jean-Éric Vergne’s Comments:

Jean-Éric Vergne, the 2018 and 2019 Formula E Champion, expressed his elation: “I’m truly delighted with Sunday’s race. It’s been a challenging weekend in terms of results; the team has performed admirably behind the scenes, but our efforts haven’t always been reflected in the outcomes. Yesterday, we were having a very strong race, but suspension issues hampered our pursuit of a podium. This morning, despite the car performing well, a red flag extinguished our chances of advancing to the qualifying duels. Consequently, we had to start from a substantially lower grid position. To ultimately reach the podium today is a tremendous reward for the entire team.I believe we all deserved it!”
