Shawky Gharib, the Olympic team’s technical director, decided to announce the team’s list on March 18, in preparation for the next camp, as part of the preparation program before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Gharib referred the file for the admission of Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool, to the Olympic team for participation in the Tokyo Olympics 2020, to the officials of the Five-Year Committee of the Football Association headed by Amr Al-Janini.
The regulations allow the Olympic team to include 3 players over the age to participate in the Olympics, and Mohamed Salah is considered the most prominent candidate to join, followed by Mohamed El Shennawy, the Al-Ahly club goalkeeper.
