NEW YORK – Authorities are seeking a man for questioning in connection with the theft of a person’s suitcase inside a Manhattan hotel when the victim was distracted, authorities announced.
The incident occurred on Sunday, October 18, at around 3:00 pm, when the victim, a 37-year-old woman, was leaving the Hotel Moxy, located at 105 28th Street. At that time, according to the authorities, an unknown man would have entered the place and when she was distracted she would have taken the victim’s suitcase and fled the place on foot.
The suitcase contained jewelry and clothing valued at about $ 20,000. Fortunately no one was injured.
The suspect is described as a man between 35 and 45 years old.
