Suicide in Wunstorf (Lower Saxony): Police officer shoots himself on guard – Hanover

Wunstorf – Shock for the police officers of the commissariat in Wunstorf (Lower Saxony)!

On Thursday morning a colleague aimed himself with the service pistol in the area!

According to BILD information, it is a 36-year-old chief inspector. Why the father of two committed suicide at ten o’clock on the official street is completely unclear.

Not the first suicide drama for the Wunstorf police: In January 2010, an official (58) shot himself in the chest, allegedly an accident while cleaning weapons. It was later clear that he was acting deliberately. After another failed attempt, he killed himself.

Between 2013 and 2017, a total of 22 police officers committed suicide in Lower Saxony.
