As many as 10 people died as a result accident traffic that occurred on the Cipali KM 75 Toll Road in Purwakarta Regency, West Java, on Monday (30/11) at around 03.00 WIB.
“The victims (died) at the TKP were eight people, then received information that two more died in the hospital. So all those who died were 10 people,” said Traffic Director of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Eddy Djunaedi.
In addition to the 10 people who died, the accident resulted in a serious injury and one minor injury.
The accident involved three vehicles, namely two tronton vehicles and one elf vehicle. This accident started when an elf vehicle with police number G 1261 D came from the direction of Jakarta to Cirebon.
When passing by the crime scene, said Eddy, the vehicle crashed into a tronton vehicle with the police number R 1857 GC in front of it.
The tronton vehicle that was hit by the elf then hit another trontoon with UEJ’s B 9010 number in front of it.
“So, the first tronton truck stopped suddenly because the engine, after that the second tronton truck crashed, after that it was the elf who crashed,” he said.
Eddy said that all the victims who died and were injured came from elf vehicles. However, the identity of the vehicle is still identified by the police.
Currently his party is still processing the scene of the case using the traffic accident analysis (TAA) method, and asking witnesses for testimony and looking for evidence to determine the cause of the accident.
