It was a fast-paced day in Vasahallen in Linköping when the skipping rope competitions made their entrance at the official Swedish Championships week for the first time since 2018. The heat was noticeable inside the competition hall, but despite there was a large audience on site to cheer on this year’s participants.
During the day, the team competitions were decided, which in total consisted of eight different branches with one team as the winner in each branch and one team as the winner of the total. After a long day, it was clear that Kämpinge GF team 4 consisting of Ina Murmark, Lova Lindgren, My Husberg, Olivia Odenhag and Hanna Andersson took home the victory in the total and thus can call themselves Swedish champions in jump rope team 2022.
– It has been great fun to compete today, and really fun that it went so well at our first Swedish Championships as seniors. But it has also been very hot, especially in the warm-up hall, says Ina Murmark from the winning team.
Silver in the total team competition was awarded to Kämpinge GF team 2 and bronze went to Kämpinge GF team 5.
The gold in the various branches was awarded to:
Speed 4 × 30 single rope: Kämpinge GF team 3, Hanna Sällvik, Magda Murmark, Matilda Gustafsson, Tuva Felix and Elin Löfberg,
Speed double spins: Kämpinge GF team 1, Emmi Frostensson, Felina Dahlqvist, Linnea Palade, Meja Hedin and Mira Larsson
Speed 1 × 60 double rope: Kämpinge GF team 2, Cecilia S Barkenhammar, Linn Weimarck, Lykke Rennmark, Selma Selander and Yrsa Nimbeck
Speed 4 × 30 double rope: Kämpinge GF team 4, Ina Murmark, Lova Lindgren, My Husberg, Olivia Odenhag and Hanna Andersson
Single rope pair freestyle: Kämpinge GF team 1, Emmi Frostensson, Felina Dahlqvist, Linnea Palade, Meja Hedin and Mira Larsson
Single rope team freestyle: Kämpinge GF team 4, Ina Murmark, Lova Lindgren, My Husberg, Olivia Odenhag and Hanna Andersson
Double dutch single freestyle: Kämpinge GF team 4, Ina Murmark, Lova Lindgren, My Husberg, Olivia Odenhag and Hanna Andersson
Double dutch pair freestyle: Kämpinge GF team 4, Ina Murmark, Lova Lindgren, My Husberg, Olivia Odenhag and Hanna Andersson
During the day, JSM was also decided and the winner in the total for teams was Kämpinge GF team blue consisting of Emmy Wettergren, Frida Murmark, Iva Renström, Madison Stenfeldt and Matilda Odenhag.
Tomorrow, the Swedish Championships continue in skipping rope with the individual competitions. 9.30 the competitions start and they can be followed on the Swedish Gymnastics Association’s youtube channel.
