Police are requesting the public’s assistance in determining the whereabouts of a suspect connected to an unprovoked violent attack in Manhattan.
The incident occurred yesterday around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and West 42nd Street.
A 59-year-old woman was approached by an unidentified man who cut off her right hand with a box-cutting knife.
The NYPD posted a message on social media offering a reward of up to $3,500 to anyone who provides information about the subject seen in the image.

The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The individual fled east on 42nd Street.
