“There seems to be no doubt that the Scottish Parliament will have a majority of independence supporters,” Sturden told Sky News.
Just as in the Scottish parliamentary elections, the SNP has won the most seats, but according to the latest forecasts, the Stargen party may not win an absolute majority in parliament.
However, the Green Party also supports Scottish independence, and thus supporters of independence will, by all accounts, be guaranteed a majority, even if the SNP does not have an absolute majority.
The British government has no reason to block another independence referendum in Scotland, the SNP leader said.
“There is simply absolutely no democratic justification for [Lielbritānijas premjerministrs] “Boris Johnson, or indeed anyone else, would try to block the right of the Scottish people to choose their future,” said Sturden.
