Studio “ALTA” residence in cooperation with LJTI / “Homo Novus”
The House of Research is a 12-day residency program for four artists and their research process. In cooperation with the Institute of Latvian New Theater / International Festival of New Theater “Homo Novus”, one of the four residency places is reserved for an artist from Latvia.
Czech Republic studios “ALTA” the aim is to host different artists in residencies and to support the development of diverse artistic practices. in 2023 two residencies announced for artists, as well as performing arts producers, managers, playwrights or technical staff – “The House of Rest” and “The House of Research”.
HOUSE OF RESEARCH 26.06.–08.07.2023.
The House of Research is a 12-day residency program designed as a laboratory, a space to share and a place for four artists to share. The residence is basically intended for the beginnings of idea development, experiments and preparation of material, as well as the opportunity to discover new layers for one’s artistic practice. Residency participants will be provided with a common studio and three guided knowledge exchange sessions, as well as space for individual work. At the end of the residency, a small, public event is planned, the format of which depends on the needs and wishes of the participants.
