The Groningen student association Vindicat has removed fifteen members after they had a party in the society on the Grote Markt on the night from Friday to Saturday, the association reports on Saturday. Members did not abide by the corona measures.
The report about the party came in around 1.00 am. The police then ended the party and fined all members involved. Such a fine can amount to 400 euros.
“We are incredulously aware of the incident that took place. It was an illegal and above all irresponsible action, which is completely contrary to the corona policy of the government and of Vindicat. Not adhering to the guidelines and thereby jeopardizing others we do not accept from our members “, the association reports.
The association says that it is happy that the meeting in the building has ended and that the members present have been fined. “They will also be removed from the association. We do not want to have anything to do with this behavior. In these times it is very important that we all, including students, adhere to government measures,” said Vindicat.
