Assistant coach Indonesia Under-20 National Team Nova Arianto said two new players who would be naturalized viz Raffaele Struick And Zico Soree joined the Garuda Nusantara team in Spain.
Rafael Struick and Zico Soree joined the Indonesia Under-20 national team in Spain on Friday (11/18).
The presence of two potential new naturalized in Spain has been confirmed by the assistant coach of the Indonesian Under-20 national team Nova Arianto.
“Yes, that’s right, I signed up,” Nova Arianto told CNNIndonesia.com on Friday (11/18).
The two strikers of this lineage are currently pursuing their careers in Dutch league competition. Zico Soree, who can play as center forward and right winger, now plays in Pec Zwolle U21 club.
Meanwhile, Rafael Struick, who can play as center forward, left wing and right wing, is now defending ADO Den Haag in Division 2 of the Dutch league.
Both were present in Spain to see their skills directly from Shin Tae Yong during the U-20 Indonesian National Team TC in Spain.
If both are assessed under STY’s requirements, Rafael Struick and Zico Soree will then undergo a process to be naturalized as Indonesian citizens in order to strengthen the Indonesia U-20 national team at the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup and the upcoming 2023 Under 20 World Cup.
STY plans to field these two players in the Under-20 national team’s test match against Slovakia Under-20 at the Pinatar Arena, Spain on Saturday (11/19).
“The plan is for these two players to go on trial against Slovakia,” said Nova.
Previously, Indonesia Under-20 national team lost 0-6 against France Under-20 in a test match at Pinatar Arena, Spain on Thursday (17/11). France scored three goals in each half in the duel against the Indonesia U-20 national team.
The match against France U20 was the first test match for the Indonesia U20 national team at a training camp in Spain.
Before arriving in Spain, the Indonesian Under-20 national team had already held a training camp in Turkey. Two other naturalized player candidates, Ivar Jenner and Justin Hubner, have already joined the Indonesia U-20 national team in Turkey.
