Strong headwind for AEX | Financial

Around 11 a.m., the AEX index was 1.4% lower at 538 points. The AMX fell 1.8% to 778.3 points. The price signs in London (-1.7%), Paris (-2.6%) and Frankfurt (-3.1%) also turned red.

Wall Street showed a mixed picture last night. The news that a deal between Republicans and Democrats on new corona support is all but out of the question in the short term weighed on sentiment. After exchange, Microsoft came out with figures. The tech giant’s forecast for the fourth quarter was somewhat disappointing. The US stock markets are expected to open 1.1% to 1.7% lower this afternoon.

Unibail down

Retail property fund ran in the completely red-colored AEX Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield again serious damage with a price dip of 5.5%. Broadcaster Randstad was lowered by 5.2%.

Bank stocks were also in the lower echelons. ING in ABN saw 2.8% and 3.3% evaporate respectively.

KPN was 1.2% lower. The telecom concern is more positive profitability throughout 2020, after a solid performance in the third quarter.

Heineken became worth 3.7% less. The brewer still suffers from the corona crisis. Heineken is therefore going to severely cut its workforce. The decline in beer sales in the third quarter was much less than in the previous quarter, but there is great caution about the outlook.

Chipconcern ASMI opening the books after the market fell 2.4%. In front of Royal Dutch Shell investors had 2.6% less left as a result of the weakening oil prices.

Dived into the AMX Air France KLM 5% down. Chip supplier Iron even lost 6%.

Trading house Flow Traders (+ 1.5%) led the winners to the medium-sized funds. Cable and telecom provider Altice Europe won 1,1%.

Smallcapfonds Vastned lost 1.1%. The retail property fund does not think that the new measures against the corona virus will have major consequences for its own business operations.

ICT Group stole the show and shot up 6.1%. The automation company further increased turnover in the past quarter.

Sligro had to give up 4.1%. ABN Amro has removed the wholesaler from the purchase list.
