Striker Kaut leaves Pardubice and will play for MODO Hockey

“We have agreed with Colorado that Martin will have a sufficient match load with us. We have a contract with him until November 5, and then he will decide how and where Martin will continue. Unfortunately, we are not playing, Martin does not have enough game load, that’s why Colorado decided that Martin is already leaving for Sweden, where he can play, “said Dušan Salfický, the sports director of the Dynamo in Pardubice, to the club’s website.

Twenty-one-year-old Kaut managed to play all four Dynamo duels this season in the extra league and scored one goal. “We are sorry that we can no longer use his services,” Salfický added.

Kaut returned to Pardubice after two years. The offspring of Žďár nad Sázavou before the 2018/19 season after the NHL draft went to Colorado and made his debut in the NHL last year. For Avalanche, who chose him in the 1st round in 16th position, he played nine matches and scored two goals and one assist. He spent most of the year on a farm in the Colorado Eagles AHL and scored 18 points in 34 duels for five goals and 13 assists.

He also spent the first year in North America at the AHL. In 63 matches of the basic part, he scored 26 points for 12 goals and 14 assists. He scored twice in four playoff duels.

In the extraleague, he managed to play 74 matches for Pardubice before leaving overseas and collected 23 points (12 + 11). He also has nine starts on the account for the Czech national team with a balance of eight points (1 + 7).

For the summer overtime of the NHL season, he did not fit on the Avalanche roster and was preparing with Pardubice. Colorado lost in the 2nd round in the playoffs after a 3: 4 defeat to Dallas.

Kaut will now strengthen the famous team from Örnsköldsvik, for which Patrik Bartošák captured Lahti at the end of last season before leaving for the Finnish Pelicans in Finland. However, the club is not doing well in the new season yet, with seven points out of seven matches it is up to 13th position.
