Stowaways arrested on oil tanker in Kanaal after threats

Several helicopters have been deployed. The action on the ship Nave Andromeda under Liberian flag is said to have caused no injuries.

The tanker was bound for Southampton port in South England and was not moored anywhere en route from Lagos. Reports of a possible hijacking were quickly debunked. The owner of the ship, the Greek company Navios, was aware of stowaways on board, according to lawyers.
