Story of Mujenih, KRL Cleaning Officer Who Finds Half Billion of Money in Carriages Page all

BOGOR, KOMPAS.com – The name Mujenih (30) suddenly went viral after he found Rp 500 million in a black plastic bag. Mujenih is known to work as janitor on train cleaning (OTC) at Bojonggede Station

He found the money when he was in charge of cleaning the Electric Train cars ( KRL) Commuter Line who just arrived at Bojonggede Station to Bogor Station.

Mujenih said, the discovery of this fantastic amount of money took place on Monday (6/7/2020) afternoon. At that time, said Mujenih, the money was lying under the priority seat bench.

Mujenih initially thought the black plastic package contained IDR 500 million it is rubbish. However, because he was suspicious, he also checked the contents of the plastic bag.

Suddenly, he was surprised after the contents of the plastic bag he saw was a hundred thousand rupiah denomination which was piled in large quantities.

“I am cleaning, then I see black plastic under the priority bench. At first, I was thought to be garbage, the plastic bag was also kicked by a passenger. When I checked, it was seen that it contained a lot of Rp 100,000 denominations wrapped in newspaper as well,” said Mujenih, when contacted on Thursday (07/09/2020).

Mujenih immediately reported his findings to the officers passenger service (PS) at Bogor Station.

There, he continued, Bogor Station officials had announced to KRL users who felt they had lost goods to come to the information room.

Not long after, still Mujenih said, an elderly man came who claimed to have lost things in the form of black plastic bags and filled with money.

After going through several processes to ensure the goods are his property, the officer then handed over the findings of half a billion to the old man, accompanied by a receipt.

“After the handover process, I immediately started working again. So I didn’t have time Chat long with the owner of the money. He said the heck was for employee salaries, “Mujenih said.

For Mujenih, there was not the slightest intention to control the money he found.

What came to mind was just how to return the hundreds of millions to the owner.

He added, events like that were not the first time this had happened. However, the findings this time are the most nominal.

“At the most, I have worked here for three years. Previously, there was a discovery of Rp. 50 million. Hopefully this will not happen again, my passengers hope to be more careful in carrying goods let alone money,” he added.

This Mujenih action then became a conversation among the citizens who knew the information.

Many of them give praise and positive comments for the good they do.
