The houses by the sea have suffered a lot

Power lines and downed houses at sea are some of the aftermath left by Storm Fiona after crossing Canada’s east coast.

Local media report that a woman went missing after the storm swept her out to sea on the island of Newfoundland.

Fiona was downgraded from hurricane to tropical storm on Friday.

Such weather events are rare in Canada and, according to the police, the weather event “is unlike anything we have ever seen”.
