Storm and giant flames. Video from South Korea shows a fatal skyscraper fire

Dozens of people were injured in a fire in a 33-story high-rise building in the South Korean city of Ulsan. At least 88 people were taken to hospital, mostly with minor injuries caused by inhaling fumes, the DPA reported. Footage of the fire showed flames consuming one side of the building.

The fire broke out on the balcony between the eighth and twelfth floors of the building, which housed about 120 apartments and shops. A strong wind contributed to its rapid spread. Hundreds of people were evacuated from the building. No man died in the accident.

After 13 hours, firefighters managed to get the fire under control. The cause of the fire is not yet known, the authorities have launched an investigation.
