KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed down 0.33% or fell 16.13 points to a level of 4,917.95 in Wednesday trading (23/9). The JCI was under pressure from the decline in the basic industrial sector and the plantation sector.
Citing RTI data, eight out of 10 sectors are flushed. Miscellaneous industrial sector fell at least 0.96%. The plantation sector fell 0.86%. The construction sector fell 0.56%. The consumer goods sector fell 0.53%.
Only two sectors strengthened. The infrastructure sector rose 0.13% and the trade sector rose 0.08%. The total volume of stock trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) was 8,810 billion with a transaction value of Rp 6.99 trillion.
A total of 286 shares fell. Another 142 stocks rose. And 137 share flats. Foreigners posted net sell or net sales of Rp. 233.87 billion in all markets.
Foreign investors recorded the largest net sell in the shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) Rp. 122.9 billion. Despite being released by foreigners, BBCA shares rose 1.01% to Rp 27,525 at the close of trading. BBCA’s total share trading reached 26.6 million with a transaction value of IDR 732 billion.
Foreigners also sell shares of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) IDR 37.2 billion. BMRI shares closed down 2.89% to Rp 5,200 per share. The total trading volume of BMRI shares reached 42.5 million with a transaction value of Rp 222.5 billion.
Shares of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) IDR 27.5 billion. UNVR shares also fell 0.31% to the level of Rp 7,925 per share at the close of trading. The total transaction of UNVR shares reached 10.6 million with a transaction value of Rp 84.3 billion.
