Staysman: – Music meant for parties and fun is rarely taken seriously
The artist himself has also never hidden that he have one love of beer and rølp. Therefore, it came as a surprise to many when the artist told his followers on Instagram that he had gone twenty days without a single drop of alcohol.
«20 days without alcohol has so far given me a whole new glow in the skin, my eyes seem clearer and my friend says I radiate. Hooray for a life without beer! », The artist writes jokingly under the picture of his tired face.

The explanation is that the 39-year-old runs a so-called “white” month in January, which means a whole month without alcohol. It is to check the effect of it, Fredrikstadmannen explains to Dagbladet.
“Lazz” has gotten married twice in a week
– It’s going quite well. I cheated a bit then, because I have had the kids almost all of January. I do not drink with my kids. I had one day without kids, then fourteen days had passed, and then I noticed the craving right away. Then I do not have them to focus on, the father of two admits with a laugh.
But he still managed to hold on.

The body is rewarded
Although the “white” month can be challenging for a beer lover like Staysman, the artist has found a temporary solution.
– I had four non-alcoholic beers in the cupboard, it made the feeling I had, longing for beer with alcohol, go away a bit. So it worked surprisingly well.

Doctor Harald Dobloug explains to Dagbladet why the “white” month can be challenging, especially after December where you often drink more alcohol than otherwise.

Furthermore, Dobloug says that the brain tries to find something else that gives pleasure to curb possible abstinences. Thorbjørnsen recognizes this in himself. He admits that he has gained a completely new interest after cutting out alcohol for a period: Shopping.
The star shares that his home may soon be confused with the apartment of the influential twins Vita and Wanda (29).
– We have been bitten by the bacillus
– I have the same bed as either Wanda or Vita. It has clicked completely for me!
– I bought candles for a thousand bucks. Then you are the yeast!

And although the artist himself does not think it’s great with an alcohol-free month, he knows of others who find joy in his challenging time.
– The interior designers in Fredrikstad are probably happy to have me there in the “white” month, he jokes.
– Completely exhausted
But the joy for the interior design shops will only be short-lived. For the artist has no plans to say goodbye to beer and party permanently.
– No! I think it’s a celebration on February 1st. A “free Staysman” celebration. A closed party somewhere that I do not know where is. So no, I’ll probably go back to drinking beer.
