Steve Cohen’s impact is already being felt in New York

The Mets have had a new owner for a few weeks now, and he’s already keen to make his mark in the city that never sleeps.

New owner, Steve Cohen is looking for a General Manager to support the new Manager Luis Rojas. On top of that, the Mets are all races to get players to help them make the playoffs in 2021, to begin with.

Now pitcher David Peterson has added his take on Steve Cohen’s arrival. He mentioned on MLB Network’s Power Alley show that he sees a pitcher like Marcus Stroman coming back to New York as a sign of Cohen’s influence.

“You have a player of the caliber of Marcus Stroman who is available as a free agent and who really wants to come back even if he could play elsewhere. It shows Mr. Cohen’s impact and how much he wants to build a winning team, ”demonstrated the left-handed pitcher.

Peterson is not the only one to have praised the work of the new owner of the Mets and his breath of fresh air on the team. The most recent winner of the Cy Young Trophy in the National League, Trevor Bauer, also agreed. Could he land in the Big Apple?
