Stéphane Plaza dominates the cultural week in Eure-et-Loir

This week, two 100% Chartrains shows are scheduled at the Off, Racine de Trois and Liberté, Equality, Olympe de Gouges. But it is above all the arrival of Stéphane Plaza in Dreux that makes the event. We scan the cultural news day by day.

1/ Tuesday, January 24

Antoine Marneur tries a crazy bet with Racine de Trois, which he programs all week at Off. The Chartrain director kicks off this Tuesday a series of performances of this text by Pierre Margot, before leaving on a national tour until May.

premium Chartres: three things to know about Racine de trois, Antoine Marneur’s new play

“It’s my most ambitious project,” whispered Antoine Marneur in our January 5 edition. It must be said that the starting point of the piece is unusual. A trio of astonishing characters, Croupier, Paname and Mimosa, find themselves immersed in a world without landmarks before being transformed… into a tree! An intriguing and out-of-format theatrical proposal.

2/ Wednesday January 25

Two youth shows on the program: The dictionary of birds in Mainvilliers and The run in Vernouillet, which is sold out. In Chartres, the Off hosts the second performance of root of three.

All Abba hits will be played in Rambouillet… and the public is invited to dress up

3/ Thursday 26 January

Another youth show, this time at the Chartres theatre. A balcony between sky and earth is a poetic ode to the work of Marc Chagall, for toddlers from 1 year old.
At Off de Chartres, another 100% Chartres creation is on view at the same time as root of three.

It is Liberty, equality, Olympe de Gouges, a musical show imagined by Gwenaëlle Anglade, from the Théâtre du Labyrinthe company. This adaptation of the book of the same name evokes the unique journey of this figure of feminism.

4/ Friday January 27

Les Prairiales, the cultural hall of Epernon, opens its doors to the municipal school of music, which will perform works by Albinoni or Mozart. A second evening is scheduled for Saturday.
In Châteaudun, an unknown group, Tayazabeu, will introduce their festive ska-reggae style.

5/ Saturday January 28

This is the busiest day for culture. The “star” of the week is Stéphane Plaza, known for his many television shows. He interprets, in Dreux, a play by Laurent Ruquier, A perfect couple, and it’s obviously a comedy. And it’s been full for several weeks.

In Chartres, the life of Olympe de Gouges is set to music

In Chartres, we are going to meet… God, in a play by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt entitled The visitor. In the cast in particular: Sam Karmann, in a very different register from The City of Fear.
In Lucé, the Talich quartet will notably perform works by Dvorak.

6/ Sunday January 27

Second concert in a row in Eure-et-Loir for the Czech musicians of Talich, this time in Epernon.
