Stepanov gave explanations about vaccination with the second dose

The first and second doses should be from the same manufacturer – Stepanov

The second dose of vaccination must be given no earlier than four and no later than 12 weeks after the first vaccination – the Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov believes that Ukrainians should receive the first and second doses of vaccine from the same manufacturer. On Monday, March 29, Stepanov wrote about this in Facebook.

“Do the first and second doses of vaccine come from the same manufacturer? Yes. Say, if you got the first shot with Covishield from AstraZeneca, you cannot get the second vaccine with Coronavac from Sinovac. You need to vaccinate the first and second times with vaccines from the same manufacturer. For example. , the AstraZeneca vaccine, even if it is produced at the facilities of different countries: either India, then South Korea, or European countries, is one and the same vaccine, “Stepanov wrote.

The minister also promised that everyone who received the first vaccination will receive a second dose within 12 weeks.

“Everyone who was vaccinated with one dose is guaranteed to receive a second vaccination within 12 weeks,” Stepanov emphasized.

Recall that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Science are already at the final stage development of a passport for COVID vaccination of Ukrainians – the document will be received by citizens who have received two doses of the drug.

Earlier, the minister said that today 14 million doses of COVID vaccines have already been contracted, negotiations on new contracts continue.
