Former world number 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas has been chosen to work wonders in the men’s game. Since he was first noticed, he has been impressive on the ATP circuit. The Greek is an aggressive baseline player known for his ability to deliver horrible groundstrokes.
He also happens to be one of the few players today who uses the one-handed backhand. In the previous season, Stefanos did not live up to his usual standards, at least not at first, having reached only the third round at the Australian Open.
Thereafter, he also reached the third round of the US Open. However, Tsitsipas made it to the semi-final at Roland Garros, which was her best performance at the event. Speaking of the previous season, the whole world was paralyzed with the issuance of the blockade.
The COVID-19 pandemic and its effects proved costly to humanity. Authorities were left with no choice but to halt the tennis season midway through.
Stefanos Tsitsipas: read books and tried to find a new routine
Recently, while speaking with Stefanos Tsitsipas, he gave his opinion on the ills of the past year.
He stated, “The season was very strange, tennis had never had a long break. Obviously I trained, then I read a lot of books and tried to find a new routine.
I tried to learn French and broaden my horizons. Now I hope that tennis can return to normal rhythms ”. Coming back to the Greek international and his extraordinary accomplishments over the years, he is expected to do great things in the Major Leagues.
In the way he’s performing with each passing season, it’s only a matter of time before he claims one.
There have been certain results that are surely encouraging.
His win over Roger Federer at the 2019 Australian Open put an emphasis on that. Later that year, he became one of the youngest players to win the ATP Masters Finals. The 2021 season will be interesting to see how Stefanos Tsitsipas fairs.
