Stayery will open two new stores in 2021 and want to expand further: day pass

The Serviced-Apartment-Marke Stayery will continue on its growth path in 2021. This year the houses in Frankfurt am Main will open with 139 apartments and in Cologne with 30 apartments. In addition, the project pipeline, currently consisting of 331 additional apartments at the three locations Dresden, Mönchengladbach and Stuttgart, is to be further expanded.

Hannibal DuMont Schütte, Managing Director of Stayery, says: “Last year was a new challenge for us too. But due to the high proportion of long-stayers, we were able to achieve an occupancy rate of almost 70 percent in Berlin, for example, in 2020 despite the corona pandemic We are also satisfied with the results of Stayery Bielefeld, especially when you consider that we only opened shortly before the outbreak of the pandemic. We have a very quick recovery overall, especially in the third quarter seen and already achieved sales at pre-crisis level.

“Our hypothesis that serviced apartments are very crisis-resistant was confirmed in 2020. At the same time, we continued our expansion last year by signing three new projects in Mönchengladbach, Dresden and Stuttgart.” DuMont Schütte adds: “We want to stick to this course this year as well. In addition to new project developments, we are also interested in hotels with 30 to 120 rooms that are to be re-used. Since we have developed a modular room concept, we can convert such existing hotels into a stayy without any problems. We are already in talks with several hotel owners about this. “

Digitization is a key factor in the Stayery business model. The entire booking process through to check-in takes place digitally and the Stayery app acts as a mobile apartment key on the smartphone during the stay. “Since we consistently rely on digitization in all areas, we can also operate smaller Stayery houses economically, such as the house in Cologne with 30 apartments. In addition, our guests appreciate the digital comfort very much. In 2021 we will intensify our digitization course and more map internal and external processes digitally. In order for us to remain the innovation leader in this area, we will also strengthen ourselves with personal expertise “, says Dr. Robert Grüschow, managing director of Stayery.
