“Stay home like the Chochera who left me a year on the bench”

Luis “Kalimba” Sosa, a 31-year-old player with a long history in the first and second division of Salvadoran football, used his humor to remind people that at this time you have to take care of yourself and stay at home.

The player, who still defines his future between continuing as a professional or retiring after a multi-lap race, posted on his Twitter a message of encouragement and caution in the midst of this quarantine, humorously taking a time from his time as a player in the Sonsonate.

“Kalimba” Sosa was directed at that time by Alberto “Chochera” Castillo and it was with this episode that the player sent a message to the fans. “# QuédateEnCasa as well as the Chochera that left me a whole year on the bench … A smile in the midst of so much sadness”, concluded the message.

His Twitter account has been the center of controversy in the past. In fact two years ago he made “history” by becoming the first player to be sanctioned by a publication on this social network in which he criticized FESFUT, which brought him several months off the field.
SANCTION

On October 2, 2017, Sosa made a publication expressing that Lisandro Pohl (president of the Alliance at that time) and other executives had good intentions towards football, but that Hugo Carrillo, then vice-president of FESFUT, would only “continue to steal”.

A day later, “Kalimba” issued another tweet in which he apologized for not having thought better about what he was going to publish and assured that he was not referring to Hugo Carrillo. “At no time have I stated who I was referring to. I am punished for something incomprehensible and I think I am the first player to have something like this happen,” he said at the time.

The midfielder learned from that sanction but his interventions on social networks are still common, where he also remembers his time in professional football. At the moment the player hopes to make decisions about his future after the pandemic because of the coronavirus.
