JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Bank Indonesia ( WITH A) will expand access to the 75th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (UPK 75 RI) Commemoration Currency exchange starting today, October 1, 2020.
If previously ordering and exchanging money only involved 5 commercial banks, now BI opens the widest opportunity for all banks to become collecting agents through a collective exchange scheme.
Executive Director, Head of the Communication Department Onny Widjanarko said this scheme allows people who wish to make exchanges only need to register at the nearest Commercial Bank in their respective regions.
“And take UPK 75 RI at the bank where you registered,” Onny said in a press release on Wednesday (30/9/2020).
Likewise, Institutions, Agencies, Corporations and Organizations can collectively use the same mechanism to become a pooling coordinator for corporations / institutions.
Onny said that banks, institutions, agencies, corporations, or organizations can send e-mails containing application forms and exchanger data to PICs at BI offices according to their respective regions.
It aims to obtain proof of order for the exchange and make the exchange at the time and place in accordance with the proof of order.
For information, adult Indonesian residents who have a KTP are only entitled to exchange 1 (one) UPK 75 RI.
“Collective exchange is carried out with a minimum exchange amount of 17 people and there is no maximum limit,” he said.
In addition to the collective mechanism, said Onny, BI will again open individual exchange services through the PINTAR application on working days until October 30, 2020 and will continue to be extended.
“For this reason, BI urges people who will exchange UPK 75 RI to continue to carry out the Covid-19 protocol,” he concluded.
