Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Legacy of the Sith Expansion Has Been Delayed – Gaming – News

The Legacy of the Sith expansion of the ten-year-old mmorpg Star Wars: The Old Republic has been postponed to February 15, 2022. Developer BioWare needs more time to conduct extensive play tests.

Most of the expansion’s features will still be available this week to paid subscribers on the public test server, writes the project manager from BioWare. However, this does not cover all story-related content. Previously, features of the Legacy of the Sith expansion were also tested via that server. The director says the feedback on that has been ‘invaluable’.

This eighth expansion of The Old Republic was announced in July and adds Combat Styles to the game, among other things. This allows players to choose to disconnect their Class Story from the gameplay to have a choice of all Advanced Class options. The dlc also contains a new storyline, which takes place on the planet Manaan. There, players must fight in underwater environments, among other things, for control of the planet, which has been occupied by the Sith Empire.
