The remake of the cult action RPG from 2003 was loud at the end of April this year speculated. Jason Schreier of Bloomberg reported at the time that he was not in charge of the BioWare studio. That was confirmed today. The company works on it Aspyr, which specializes mainly in ports of existing games to other platforms and operating systems, including several Star Wars titles.
Studio Aspyr was bought by the company at the beginning of the year Embracer Group, which also owns THQ Nordic, Gearbox Software, Koch Media or the Czech Warhorse Studios.
One important question remains to be answered: On which platforms will the remake come out? So far it has been confirmed only PlayStation 5 versionwhich has time console exclusivity. This means that the PC version will be released at the same time, but the title will be available later on the Xbox Series X / S.

The original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic arrived in 2003 on the first Xbox and PC, later the game hit mobile phones and tablets. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords was prepared by Obsidian Entertainment and released in 2004.
