Star Wars Eclipse – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Star Wars Eclipsealso Star Wars: Eclipse, is an announced action-adventure game that will be developed by Quantic Dream in association with Lucasfilm Games and published by Quantic Dream itself. It was unveiled with a trailer on December 9, 2021 during The Game Awards 2021.[1] The game takes place at the time of the High Republic in the Star Wars universe.[2]

Star Wars: Eclipse will feature a mix of action gameplay as well as a rooted story. Every decision made by the player will have a decisive influence on the further progress of the story, e.g. relationships with characters or the fate of one’s own character.[3][4]

Guillaume de Fondaumière, CO CEO of Quantic Dream, affirmed that while the game is played differently, the “Basics [starke Charaktere und Story] would be maintained.[5]

Star Wars: Eclipse takes place during the High Republic, approximately 200 years before the action of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace,[6] in the outer rim. The game will introduce new planets as well as new species.

An as yet unspecified ensemble cast of playable characters that interact with each other will make up the story.[3]

The project is in an early phase of development. It is being developed in Paris and Montreal.[2]
