Even if the future update of Star Wars: Battlefront II adding BB-8 as a hero has lagged behind on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, DICE is already thinking about the future.
Indeed, the title of Electronic Arts will offer to rediscover the first trilogy or the Age of Rebellion saga from February. This new update will notably add two new Supremacy cards like Death Star II or Scarif, the map of the film Rogue One that we have already seen in Star Wars: Battlefront from 2015.
Moreover, the Capital Supremacy mode will henceforth be called Supremacy since the new cards will not necessarily offer combat in the air. DICE gives us an appointment next week to get more details on this point.
During development, we looked at the experiences that both Death Star II and Scarif would offer, deciding that the Age of Rebellion saga would focus on ground combat. A choice that is better suited to some of the emblematic places we have. It’s hard to imagine leaving Death Star to go to a mother ship or having to face the shield that surrounds Scarif.
Pending this future update of Star Wars: Battlefront II, players will be able to try the next heroes, BB-8 and BB-9E, starting next February 3. The latter, unlike the other characters in the game, will act as supports. For example, they will make it possible to capture control points much faster than a so-called normal unit or to increase the recharge speed of the capacities of nearby allies.
