Star Gazers Converge for Celestial Weekend at MCSE Star Tanya

Lovasberény, Hungary – Enthusiasts of teh cosmos are invited to a special perceptual weekend at the MCSE Star Tanya, located on János-Hegyi út in Lovasberény. The event,designed for MCSE members,offers a unique chance for observation using MCSE binoculars and personal equipment,with a focus on the night sky’s wonders.
A Night Under the Capricornids
The celestial calendar for this gathering highlights the Capricornids meteor shower, known for producing fewer but exceptionally bright and impressive shooting stars.The moon phase during the event will be in its frist quarter, positioned low below the ecliptic, ensuring minimal light interference for optimal viewing throughout most of the night.
Accommodation and Participation Details
Limited accommodation is available in the on-site tourist house for up to 16 individuals at a rate of 4000 HUF per person per night.All proceeds from accommodation fees directly support the maintenance of the Star Tanya. Those preferring to camp are welcome to bring their own tents, with a contribution of 2000 HUF per person per night requested.
Participation in the Star Tanya events is complimentary for regularly contributing volunteers.

In the event of unfavorable weather, a curated excursion program is planned, featuring local attractions such as the Gánti “Mars” site, the Bauxitbánya, the historic Crown City of Székesfehérvár, the Cziráky Castle in Lovasberény, and hiking opportunities in the Velence Mountains. The Star Tanya also offers a chance for visitors to engage in farm activities.
The MCSE Star Tanya is conveniently located approximately 60-60 minutes from Budapest and 20 minutes from Tatabánya, Dunaújváros, and Székesfehérvár, promising a clear, dark sky with an almost uninterrupted view of the Milky way.
