In sports films, it is customary for well-known sports personalities to appear in them. Vyšehrad will not be an exception. However, especially in the work mapping a substantial part of Lavický’s life, the occurrence of great athletes is considerable. On the screen you can see, for example, Tomáš Rosický, Jakub Voráček, Ondřej Pavelec, Jiří Tlustý, Vladimír Šmicer or Patrik Berger. And according to director Štáfek, these acting “amateurs” did very well in front of the camera. It is said to have a lot to do with the fact that they spend quite a lot of time together in the Real Top Prague jersey and they are definitely not hypersensitive if anyone makes fun of them. This is then clearly useful in film, and especially in comedy. The filmmakers basically had no problem with any of the selected athletes, the only one who apologized for participating in the filming was Milan Baroš.

Not only Lavický, but also Jakub Štáfek himself went through an interesting development in almost five years since the start of the Vyšehrad series. The past is the escapades of a young popular boy who can enjoy life to the fullest. Today, Jakub is the father of a little daughter and is slowly getting ready for a summer wedding with his partner. If he regrets something about the maximum workload of the last few months, it is that he cannot devote himself fully to his family. At the same time, he realizes how relative time is to a term. He said he didn’t believe it when his older colleagues said to him: Wait until the baby comes, everything will suddenly change for you and time will run away from you extremely quickly. This is exactly what he is experiencing firsthand.

The public did not miss the fact that Jakub managed to prepare for a match in the MMA, which he also managed to bring to a victorious end. He struggled man-to-man in a ring or in a cage, really trained him, trained very hard and was rewarded with success. Already last year he was supposed to introduce himself again among the ropes, but first he made a line over the budget covid. And as the better times began to shine, the completion of the film became a force majeure and the match had to be imposed ad acta.

Although Štáfek completed two preparatory training camps, he had to say goodbye to the idea of another duel. Of course he was sorry, but he had no choice at the moment. But that doesn’t mean we should never see him wrestle or box again.

In the latest work of Ušák, you can also learn that together with friends they created a screenplay for a film and a comic book that was supposed to describe a story in the middle of a war – in Ukraine. You’ll also hear what it’s like when an actor directs himself, and also if there are times when you’d rather not be seen on screen. And that’s still not all Ušák 204 has to offer.

See the introductory video for more. You can see other parts of Ušák here.

The show Ušák airs on the List of News and premieres every Sunday at 17:00.
