Popular Latvian singers Antra Stafecka, Mārtiņš Kanters and Andris Ērglis have recorded a new joint song “Heart is a voice” and are also preparing for a joint concert tour.
The author of the music and lyrics of the song “Sirds ir balss” is Mārtiņš Kanters, but it seems that the arrangement, made by guitarist Āriks Upenieks, played a big role this time. He also produced this song with the participation of Edgar Skrágis. Kaspars Kambars has been working on his winter video version.
“The idea for the song came to me very easily,” recalls Mārtiņš Kanters. “It’s about forgetting to stop and listen to our heart, to listen to ourselves, and that’s why sad things happen in the world. I’m very excited and happy to be able to perform this song together with my friends Antra and Andri, whose voices they have been very important to me for a long time.The song was created especially for the festive concert of the same name “The heart is the voice”.
With the new concert schedule, artists will give concerts in Jēkabpils, Bauska, Ķekava, Alūksne, Liepāja, Dobele, Talsi, Kuldīga and Riga at the end of the year. During the concert, folk songs of Latvian and foreign composers will be heard, as well as several new works created by the concert participants themselves. In addition to the singers, the instrumental composition will take part in the concerts – Eriks Upenieks (guitar)Mārtiņš Burkevics (bass) And Eddie Simimiņš (drums).
