St. Petersburg introduces new restrictions due to coronavirus – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

In St. Petersburg, on November 23, new restrictions are introduced due to the spread of coronavirus infection. They will concern shopping centers, sports events and the work of cultural institutions, reports administration of St. Petersburg.

In particular, from November 23, sports events will be held without spectators. Some restrictions will apply to rollers. One person must have at least 10 square meters of ice zone.

Mass skating should not be more than 30 people at a time.

In addition, the simultaneous skating of athletes, training passes, and all other visitors to the rinks will be prohibited. Changing rooms will be closed on the open skating rinks.

In a release from the city administration, it is noted that professional sports clubs will work as usual.

All food service points will be closed in shopping centers. All other restaurants and cafes will work as usual, but the requirements for children’s rooms in catering establishments will be tightened.

In addition, if now in cultural institutions the maximum possible occupancy of halls is 50 percent, then from December 1 it should be no more than a quarter. The city authorities are ready to make exceptions for events for which a large number of tickets have already been purchased.

In St. Petersburg in the last two days, more than two thousand new cases of coronavirus have been recorded per day. So, on November 18, 2,215 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the city.
