Square Enix made a small statement on the situation regarding E3 2020 on Twitter. In this, Square Enix also talks about the strongest line-up of all time awaiting us in the future. The message was published in English and Japanese, here is the translation in German:
E3 2020 UPDATE
Nothing in the world is more important to us than protecting the health and well-being of our employees and their families, our partners, and without a doubt our fans, and we support ESA’s decision to cancel E3 2020. We are very grateful to everyone who worked tirelessly to offer us an unforgettable gaming and E3 experience. We understand the disappointments, not only for the developers and publishers concerned but also for our thousands of fans who wanted to celebrate the E3 games with us from afar. We feel the same way.
Our line-up for 2020 and the subsequent next gen behind it is stronger than ever for us (Square Enix). Where the E3 always had incredible moments to introduce our upcoming games, we are now in the process of sharing our games with you. We will keep you updated, stay tuned!
